The Young Ladies' Journal Fashion Supplement - October 1896
This is a very special, albeit wounded bird: a copy of the October 1896 Fashion Supplement to the Young Ladies' Journal. Needless to say, the scan absolutely reflects the age and condition of the document: there are tears, there is aged cellophane tape, and there is significant yellowing --- all reflected in the reduced price. That being said, this is still a wonderful exploration of fashion at a very particular moment in time, reflected in the outsized balloon and mutton chop sleeves. Only one page(!) suffers from serious readability impacts; everything else is relatively intact.
